This is only the beginning…
Hello and welcome to my blog, Aunt Jeannie’s Guide for Wayward Seekers! I AM a Reiki Master, a scientist, a medical professional, a habitual meditator and a pursuer of spiritual growth (we’ll talk about the side effects of that later). There is a ton of information out there about all things New Age. I find all of it fascinating and I love to read, attend workshops and lectures about this stuff. On this blog I will be sharing things I have learned (Hopefully with other actual people because I’m not just writing this for myself!). My intention is that you will benefit from all my time reading and writing as I share what I have learned over the years since the early 2000’s (without you having to spend that much time). I hope you will find answers and/or explanations for things that you may be experiencing in your life or see happening in the lives of others. There is so much change going on in the world right now. Upside down is becoming upright. You are not crazy and you are not alone. It is also my intention is that this will be a New Age blog like no other. I AM a no-nonsense woman with the mouth of a sailor and a sometimes snarky sense of humor. This blog may cover New Age topics, but is will not be all “touchy feely” sunshine and roses. I will be writing like I speak—direct, straight forward and most likely with some curse words sprinkled into the mix. It will also be funny (to me if no one else). So I invite you to sit back and relax and continue on my journey with me. Welcome aboard!
Let’s face it, many people think New Age beliefs are hocus pocus or just plain crazy. That’s perfectly fine. I know it often sounds crazy to the unaware. One hundred fifty years ago I would have been locked up in an insane asylum for talking about seeing things or hearing things or feeling things that “aren’t there.” Three hundred years ago I would have been burned at the stake as a witch and now there’s psych meds and electroshock therapy. Oh, boy! I sometimes talk with family and friends about this stuff and they aren’t sure what to do with this crap. My mom spends a lot of time saying, “Oh, my God.” A coworker has literally said to me, “I wouldn’t believe any of this, except it’s you.” (I like to interpret this as she elects to believe me because she knows me to be a smart, sensible woman who is, generally speaking, not bat shit crazy.) For this reason, there are very few people with which I have been willing to share EVERYTHING. Those folks I do feel free to share all my experiences with I most definitely treasure (thank you Arlene and Melissa!!! XXXO)! Thank you for taking the red pill with me! Here I AM coming out of the closet, so to speak. We will be talking about everything and anything positive because I believe that all these changes in my life are positive.
I will be covering a wide range of topics on this blog (please see the Weird Wacky and Wonderful list below). I want to make this interactive. I will be entertaining comments and taking requests. If you have something that you wish to share or something you would like to know more about, please, feel free to post! If you are a little asshole internet troll, know that there is no room for negativity here. You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. No one says you have to read my blog. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. No skin off my back. Feel free to write your own blog. With that being said, know that all negative comments will be deleted. You can think that I am a whacked out lunatic and want to know what I am smoking or that I am the devil incarnate and I’m going to Hell, but you are not invited to say it on my blog. Please just take the blue pill and move the fuck along. Thanks!!! Xxo
The Weird Wacky and Wonderful List of things we will talk about here from A to Z and everything in between:
- Ascension—the Western word for enlightenment and the goal of my spiritual growth.
- Beliefs—humans have developed whole systems of belief to explain and deal with various problems. I have my own as do you all. Some of mine will likely piss some people off.
- Chakras—these are the energy centers of the body. You may or may not have heard of them. They are becoming much more main stream.
- Discernment—this is a great word. I use discernment every day of my life and you will be using discernment when you decide whether or not to believe what I am writing here.
- ESP—extra sensory perception or “the claires.” Everyone possesses the psychic abilities of clairvoyance (clear seeing), clairaudience (hearing), clairsentience (feeling) and claircognizance (knowing). Children (and pets) are very open to these things. Adults “train” it out of them by telling them that their imaginary friend is not there. (Maybe they are there and you just can’t see it.) Adults have a tendency to write these things off as their imagination or coincidence.
- Fear—this is the reason that people poo-poo all things New Age and the root of all of humanity’s problems as far as I’m concerned.
- God—oh boy! Wait till you hear what we have to say about that. That’s probably going to piss some people off too.
- Helpfulness—Service to Others is the greatest tenet. Every religion contains some form of the Golden Rule. Oh, if we only practiced it.
- Intention—can be either wonderful or terrible. Where intention goes, energy flows (not just your attention!)
- Jesus—one of the greatest teachers of all time. He came to Earth to show us the way to experience our own Ascension.
- Karma—cause and effect that many proclaim to be “a bitch.”
- Love—the greatest of all things and the antidote to fear.
- Meditation—a daily practice for me. Scientifically proven to improve all kinds of things. What are you waiting for??
- Nature—get out there. It will make you feel so much better.
- Openness—being willing to listen to and consider others’ opinions even though they differ from yours. Acceptance and respectfulness.
- Paranormal—truer than you think.
- Qi—pronounced “CHEE.” The energy of everything. It has many names.
- Release—necessary for change and forward movement. The old must go to make way for the new.
- Symptoms—manifestations of what is often referred to as disease. Some folks have symptoms that doctors can not physically explain.
- Transmutation—change on steroids.
- Universal Laws—I find this subject both fascinating and overwhelming. We’re going to examine these.
- Vibration—raise yours and you will feel so much better!
- We Are One—and by “We” I mean every living thing. The faster humans learn and accept this, the better off we will ALL be.
- Xtraterrestrials—oh, yeah, I know this is where many will fall away, but, sorry, it’s true. (Also, I know it’s cheating because the word really starts with an E, but YOU find a word for this list that begins with an X. J)
- Yin Yang—the masculine and feminine.
- Zzzzzzzz—sleep, rest. Highly under-rated and so very needed. (P.S. I know this is a cheat too, but tough noogies!)
So, that’s pretty much it. I hope you enjoyed it and will be interested in following along! Thanks for reading.
Love, Light, and Peace,
Aunt Jeannie
